As I promised to inform you about the release of the new issue of What’s Up Jeddah, I got a surprise for all What’s Up fans.

Now we have two editions of What’s Up, the original Jeddah edition and a new Riyadh edition of What’s Up.

The What’s Up Riyadh we released is a BETA version (that’s what we printed on the cover), but the official 1st issue will come out in July with Jeddah’s 10th issue of What’s Up.

Both editions are out now, you can pick anyone you wish, and both have great topics to read about.

So enjoy, to find out more you can visit www.WhatsUpKSA.net to find out more about the distribution points (or contact me about it if you wish). Remember What’s Up is a free publication and will remain free forever, so you have no excuse to to grab your copy.

Oh and I am working on a cool surprise that will come out sooooon, that includes loads of ExplorePod topics, think of it as season 2 :D so stay tuned.

POI Newbie

Was fiddling with my GPSr last night (you can smell trip preparation in the air). When I thought I should fly over to checkout Dubai maps.

I know you can see the number in the image, heck you can check that place up.

So gone there, and thought of looking up “La Marquise”, my favorite coffee shop. I found it on the map, but what I found even more interesting that it had a number in the POI info, when I cross checked it with my Address Book (yes I keep info of my “favorites places in my address book) I discovered that it was the actual phone number.

Now imagine this you look a location up on the GPSr, you ask it to guide you to it with turn by turn instructions, and you call up the place to book a table… Cool! :D
I know I am a POI newbie, that’s what makes life interesting, you discover and learn. (if you don’t know what POI is, then you’re worst them me).

I went on another desert safari in Dubai, but this time I got to carry a falcon (or was it a hawk) any way I think it was so cool to take a photo of this beautiful creature.
If you would like to watch a desert safari you can download episode 28

I came across this iPhone lousy replica at a market called Dragon Market in Dubai where they have a ton of Chinese products there, the place feels like China town in a way.

The best part is that the market spread over a full kilometer. (BIG!)
